MOORE BEATS HOAR IN BUSCH NORTH RACE AT STAFFORD

STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. (Aug. 15) -- Ryan Moore grabbed the lead with 28 laps remaining and won the TSI Harley Davidson 150 NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series race at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Moore's victory margin was a healthy 1.456 seconds over runnerup Brian Hoar. Moore averaged 64.888 mph. There were three lead changes among four drivers.

Ted Christopher, Andy Santerre and Mike Olsen rounded out the top five finishers.

The chase for the Busch North title was very tight after the race at Stafford. Mike Stefanik leads with 1,148 and Santerre is second with 1,138.

Mike Johnson won the Busch Pole Award at Stafford's half-mile oval. His best lap averaged 90.086 mph.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for NASCAR's Grand National Division. The Grand National Division includes the West Series. The two series share a common rulebook and the same group of Goodyear bias-ply tires.

The next race for the Busch North Series will be Aug. 20 at Motor Mile Speedway.
