Waterbury, CT (January 6, 1999) Jay Lestorti, President of LesCare Kitchens, Inc., announced this afternoon that his company has signed a contract to be the primary sponsor of Moore Racing and driver Kelly Moore for the 1999 season. LesCare Kitchens will sponsor Moore for the full 1999 Busch North Series, a NASCAR Touring Division, schedule and will also compete in NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Series events at New Hampshire International Speedway, Indianapolis Raceway Park, Memphis Motorsports Park and Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex.
"Kelly Moore is one of the most respected and competitive drivers on the Busch North Series, " Lestorti said. "I think for the first time, LesCare Kitchens will have a complete motorsports package in place. Bringing Kelly onboard provides us with excellent marketing opportunities both on and off the track. All of us at LesCare are excited about the coming season."
Kelly Moore, the 1995 Busch North Series champion, has been a mainstay on the Busch North Series, a NASCAR Touring Division, since the series inception in 1987. The longtime resident of Scarborough, Maine has not only written the record book on the Busch North Series, he continues to define longevity and is establishing a standard that may never be equaled. Moore continues to add his name atop many categories in the series record books and presently holds the series record for victories, Top-5 finishes, Top-10 finishes, career pole positions, most pole positions in a season, races started, and money won.
"I'm real happy to represent a longtime supporter of racing like LesCare, this is just an outstanding opportunity for me and our entire organization," Moore said. "We have an outstanding team and having the support of LesCare for the coming season is a big boost for our program. I'm also looking forward to representing LesCare and the New England racing fans in some Busch Series events."
