McCarthy/Pritchard Motorsports Signs New Sponsor for 2002 Busch North Season Trim Spa weight loss products joins Mannings USA for Joey McCarthy's sophomore season.

Dover, NJ - McCarthy/Pritchard Motorsports is proud to announce the signing of Trim Spa to sponsor the team's 2002 NASCAR Busch North Series efforts with driver Joey McCarthy. McCarthy will run his second full season of Busch North, following a rookie season where he finished fifteenth in points and runner-up in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings.

"This is definitely good news," McCarthy said. "It's going to be a good relationship. Trim Spa is real excited about getting involved in racing with us and I think we'll work together real well."

McCarthy, a former karting champion and Modified driver before turning his attention to full-bodied stock cars, is looking forward to flying the Trim Spa "High-Speed Weight Loss" colors.

"It moves our program ahead faster as far as getting some more engines and getting a little extra testing time," he said. "We can order some more parts that we've been wanting to order, and we'll stay an extra day testing at Loudon and that's something we weren't going to do. It's going to make life a lot easier."

Trim Spa joins Mannings USA, a thermal specialist company, as primary sponsors of the No. 41 Busch North car. With this backing, the team will run the entire Busch North schedule, encompassing nineteen races in seven states. The season kicks off April 21st at New Hampshire's Lee USA Speedway and features races at New Hampshire International Speedway, Nazareth Speedway, Dover International Speedway and Watkins Glen International before wrapping up in October at Lime Rock Park.

With the added backing, McCarthy expects his team to move up a notch in competitiveness. "We expect with the experience we gained last year, combined with new sponsorship from Trim Spa and renewed support from Mannings USA, that we can win races in 2002 and finish in the top ten in points," McCarthy said.
