LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 21, 2004) -- Andy Santerre slipped by the surprising Mike Gallo on the 106th lap to take the lead and went on to win the Sylvania 125 NASCAR Grand National Division Busch North Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway. It was the fifth win of the season for Santerre.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which include the West Series. The two series use the same Goodyear Eagles for the short track and speedway applications, which means that when the eligible BNS teams travel to Irwindale Speedway for the NASCAR All-Star event after the end of the regular season, they will be using the same dependable Goodyear tires they grew accustomed to during the year.

Santerre averaged 68.757 mph around the mile-long oval. He beat runner-up Paul Wolfe by 1.138 seconds. Santerre now holds a commanding lead in the standings. He has 1,984 tallies, while Mike Olsen is next with 1,795. There are two races remaining on the 2004 schedule.

In the race, Ryan Moore finished third, Dale Quarterly was fourth and Gallo finished fifth. It was the best finish of Gallo's BNS career.

Mike Johnson won the Busch Pole Award with a lap averaging 124.674 mph.
