KOBYLUCK WINS NASCAR BUSCH NORTH RACE AT LIME ROCK PARK

LIME ROCK, Conn. (Oct. 2, 2005) -- Matt Kobyluck did everything there was to do at the road course at Lime Rock Park. He won both the Bud Pole Award and the race as the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series competed in the Burnham Hydronics 200K.

Kobyluck spent part of the week making repairs after an accident that came during a testing session in which he struck a wayward deer. Obviously, the repairs were effective because he collected his fourth victory of the season.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Grand National Division, which includes the NASCAR West Series.

Mike Olsen finished second, .635 of a second behind the winner. Joey McCarthy was third, followed by points leader Andy Santerre and Mike Stefanik.

Kobyluck averaged 101.519 mph on his Busch Pole Award-winning lap. He averaged 69.645 mph for the 200 kilometer race around the 1.53-mile road racing circuit.

Santerre leads the series standings with 1,978 points. Stefanik is second with 1,903.

The next race for the Busch North Series will be at Thompson International Speedway next weekend.
