Ryan Moore Captures His First Busch North Victory

Lake Erie, PA -- Ryan Moore achieved something he had been anticipating for some time; his first Bush North Series victory. The young driver qualified his R.C. Moore Transportation/Bill Dodge Autogroup/GetEtched.com Monte Carlo on the pole, where he remained all evening long.

"We made some minor changes after practice, but my team really gave me a great car from the beginning," said Moore.

Matt Kobyluck qualified before Moore and the Moore Racing Team came over the radio to report his fast time. "My reaction was WOW, when I heard Matt's time," said Moore, "but at least I knew what I was up against."

Moore had nothing to fear for his first qualifying lap around the track beat Kobyluck and put the 2003 rookie on the pole. "The car was perfect," said Ryan, "I had no complaints." Moore not only had an incredible race car all evening, but the amount of talent shown was amazing. "I was in and out of lapped traffic all night and Stefanik and Santerre were close behind. I could actually pull away some going around the traffic, where they would seem to slow up."

Six restarts throughout the evening challenged Moore somewhat, but he never let up. "The last five laps I was just praying," said Moore, "It seems like we have had so many close calls in the past that I wasn't going to be satisfied until the checkered."

Moore led all 150 laps of the Local Dodge Dealers 150 to bring home a victory. In a post-race interview Moore could not have been more thrilled, "I had my mic keyed in the last lap around the race track. I just keep saying come on baby, stay together, we can do this. It means a lot to win this race before we head to New Hampshire next weekend with the Busch Guys. DEI has just done so much for us, I hope they could see this win tonight."

A special thanks to the Moore Racing Team and the Moore family for all of their help and support. All of their hard work and dedication was displayed and continues to make the Moore Racing Team a success!
