NDS MOTORSPORTS TO FIELD BRAD LEIGHTON IN FOUR NASCAR BUSCH EAST EVENTS
Milton, Vt...NDS Motorsports is pleased to announce that they will field well-known championship driver Brad Leighton in the No. 35 Irving Oil/Mainway Ford in four upcoming events in the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch Series East. "We are happy to welcome Leighton and Irving Oil back to our team," says team owner Bob Torriere. "He is extremely skilled behind the wheel and, just as he has in the past, we know he will do a terrific job for us.
Flying the Irving Oil/Mainway banner, Leighton and NDS Motorsports will contest two races at New Hampshire International Speedway; the New England 125 on July 14, the Sylvania 125 on September 15; plus the Dover 150 at Dover International Speedway on September 22 and the Mohegan Sun 200 at Lime Rock Park on September 30.
"I am very excited to once again be on board with Irving Oil and NDS Motorsports," says an obviously enthusiastic Leighton. "The people at Irving Oil value the same qualities that we value at NDS and we are looking forward to showcasing their excellent name in association with our team.
In addition to major sponsorship, Leighton and NDS are pleased to welcome ATPAC International as a returning associate sponsor.
Our goal is to try and bring home the highly coveted New Hampshire International Speedway track championship for a record fifth time," continues Leighton. "In addition, I am hoping to break the existing series record for wins. NDS has put together an excellent team. They definitely know how to prep a car to win, so with a little luck, I think we can achieve our goals.
A native of New Hampshire, Leighton has amassed an enviable reputation and is one of the winningest drivers in the NASCAR Busch East Series (formerly known as Busch North) and the all time winningest driver in NHIS track history. His many credits include the 1999 and 2000 Series championship, 1996 Rookie of the Year honors, and numerous race victories and many other accolades.
"I am really looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the No. 35 Ford once again," sums up Leighton. Bob and I have been discussing this project for the past few months now and I am certainly pleased that we were able to come to an agreement and make this announcement, which, by the way, has easily been one of the worst keep secrets in Busch East Series history. All of us at NDS are excited and eager to bring home our first win of the season.
