ATLANTA, Ga. (Oct. 28, 2003) -- Justin Hobgood earned a spot in the history of the Goody's Dash Series when he captured the Brawny 150 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The race was the final event for the Series under NASCAR ownership. It has been announced the Series will continue under new ownership in 2004.

The Dash Series raced exclusively on Goodyear tires.

Robert Huffman fittingly finished fifth in the race. He clinched his fifth Dash Series championship. It was also the first NASCAR championship for Toyota.

Joey Miller finished second in the race. He was followed by Danny Bagwell, Jake Hobgood and Huffman.

The Dash Series started operations in 1975. Its list of champions includes Michael Waltrip and former Winston Cup star Hut Stricklin. Waltrip shared the Most Popular Driver Award with the late Davey Allison in 1983 and Shawna Robinson won the same award in 1988 and 1989.
