For the second consecutive race the Nationwide Series visits a road course. This week it's the 2.45-mile facility at Watkins Glen.

Carpentier loves racing on ovals but he still remains a powerhouse on the road courses.

The open-wheel veteran but NASCAR rookie owns an impressive resume this year in the Nationwide Series earning two top-five road course finishes plus two other top-10 finishes in only five starts. In his hometown race at Montreal last week he finished second for the second consecutive year.

This week he debuts new sponsor Tow Truck in a Box on the No. 9 Dodge. The company will also sponsor his No. 10 Sprint Cup car at Michigan and Talladega.

PATRICK CARPENTIER:

"It's been a busy couple of weeks for the No. 9 team. We went to Montreal to win that race and even though we're thrilled with second our main goal was to win. I think we've got a great shot at accomplishing that this weekend. We're bringing the same chassis to the Glen that we raced at Mexico and Montreal. It's easily a top-three car so we're pretty excited about this week.

"I have enjoyed the Nationwide Series this year. It's a lot of fun and we've pretty good each race. Watkins Glen has so much history. That's where the American Formula One race was held years ago and it's a pretty special place to visit. I'd love to win a race there."

NOTES
