* Vickers' stats at The Glen: Vickers has one NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the 2.45-mile road course. In 2005, he started seventh and finished third, leading for 24 laps, the most by a single driver for the 82-lap event. The 2005 Zippo 200 is the only road course race in which Vickers has competed while driving in the NNS.
* Vickers batting a thousand in 2009: In his 10 NNS starts this season, Vickers has completed 100% of the 1624 laps. He also boasts four top-five and eight top-10 finishes and has led 31 laps.
Vickers on racing at Watkins Glen International:
"I am looking forward to racing this weekend at Watkins Glen. I really enjoy racing there and am excited to be back in the No. 32 this weekend. The Glen is a lot of fun to race on. It is a fast track and we can expect a lot of passing. It requires smooth driving and finesse. That, combined with the high speeds and heavy braking, makes this race a lot of fun for a driver. I have only raced here once in a Nationwide Series car. In 2005, I banged doors a lot with Tony Stewart in order to get my third-place finish. I know Trent Owens and the Dollar General team will bring a strong car and I plan to be banging doors up front again."
Crew Chief, Trent Owens, on racing at "the Glen":
"We had a strong run at the Glen last year with Denny until the No. 32 had electrical problems. We qualified fourth and ran really well during the first green-flag run. After that, it was a series of bad luck that plagued us. First he got hit from behind and spun off the course. We were able to get back up to fifth by the halfway point but then got hit with an electrical issue and had to call it a day. The Dollar General team is definitely ready to get back there and finish what we started last year. With a driver like Vickers behind the wheel, we have a good shot at a strong run."
* The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #029 in this weekend's Zippo 200 at the Glen. * This is the same chassis that Braun Racing ran at Watkins Glen International in August, 2008, where Denny Hamlin started 4th and finished 34th due to an electrical issue.
