BURNEY LAMAR, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing
Do you have much experience at Phoenix? "I've raced there a lot in my career. One of my most memorable wins is the Copper World Classic and I got that in Phoenix in 2005. Been there a lot and can't wait to go there in the Nationwide car. I know Dollar General and Trent (Owens, crew chief) and all the guys are going to give me a good car, so I'm excited about it. Jason (Leffler) and I have some of that left coast' experience together and can't wait to get to Phoenix. Anytime you go back to a place you've been to a lot before you can't wait to get back just because you know you're going to be good. You know your way around the race track and it's always what a driver enjoys doing."
JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing
Is Phoenix a track you enjoy? "I've got a lot of laps around there. I used to go to the Copper World Classic there when I was a kid and watched a lot of races there. It's pretty close to southern California so that is really good, too. It's a really unique race track -- both ends are so different and it's slick and it's just a good old short track."
MICHAEL McDOWELL, No. 47 Pacific Packaging Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty Racing
Are you looking forward to racing near your hometown this weekend? "I ran a Nationwide race there in 2007 and we had a good race -- finished 14th and ran in the top-10 most of the day. It's one of those tracks that I have at least driven these cars at so that's a plus. A lot of these places I haven't been to in a Nationwide car so at least that's one place I'm familiar with. The last couple years I've spent a lot of time with friends and family, but this year we're going to try to keep it a little more low key. Just focus on having a good race and a good weekend. I'm actually going to be in my best friend's wedding on Saturday, so it's cool that the race is Friday night."
