STATESVILLE, N.C. -- Chase Miller and the No. 9 Verizon Wireless/Motorola Dodge team have reason for optimism as they head to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend after the 21-year-old recorded a career-best sixth place finish at Memphis last weekend.

Miller makes his 13th NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the 2008 season and 19th of his career on Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) in Forth Worth, Texas.

Miller is in his second season as a driver for Gillett Evernham Motorsports. The Canton, Ga. native made one Craftsman Truck Series start at TMS in 2007 -- he started 20th and finished 30th.

Miller will finish the 2008 campaign at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 15 .

Chase Miller:

On Racing at Texas: "The Verizon Wireless/Motorola team has come together well over the last few races. We ran extremely well last weekend at Memphis and now we're excited to get back on the racetrack and see if we can take it build on our last race and take it to the next level."

On Working With Wally Rogers: "Wally Rogers served as our crew chief for the first time last weekend at Memphis and we had a really competitive racecar. We talked about what to expect at Texas and he told me that it's his favorite track and he's had some success (as a crew chief) there. I'm pretty confident going into this weekend with a brand new car and Mr. Rogers calling the shots."

Crew Chief: Wally Rogers

Chassis Info: The No. 9 Verizon Wireless Dodge team will use chassis B28 this weekend at Memphis. B28 is a brand new chassis that will be making its first start. B28 will serve as the backup car.
