"Aaron's 312 Moved From ABC to ESPN2"
TALLADEGA, Alabama (April 24, 2010) - - Patrick Sheltra, the 23-year old Indiantown, Florida native will have to wait until late Sunday afternoon to make his NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) debut at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway behind the wheel of the No. 09 RAB Racing Ford Fusion after impending severe weather forced officials from NASCAR and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway to postpone the Aaron's 312 until tomorrow.
Sheltra, considered one of the hottest drivers on the ARCA Racing Series tour following his stunning second-place finish in yesterday's Talladega ARCA 250 will utilize the down time to relax and regroup for the 117-lap event scheduled to take the green flag at 4:30 local.
"I'm ready to go, whether it is today, tomorrow or next week," said Sheltra. "The adrenaline from yesterday's race is keeping me going and looking forward to racing tomorrow. I'll relax today and dodge the bad weather but keep focused towards getting the RAB Racing with Brack Maggard team a good finish."
Sheltra will compete in his fifth career NASCAR Nationwide Series event after qualifying 22nd Friday morning.
The Aaron's 312 (117 laps / 312 miles) is the eighth of 35 events on the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule. The race set to take the green flag on Sunday, April 25th shortly after 4:30 p.m. The contest will be televised live on ESPN2 with additional broadcasting coverage available through the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and XM / Sirius satellite radio channel 128. All times are local.
