WHAT: Extended practice day for NASCAR Nationwide Series teams competing in the second race for the new car.

WHEN / WHERE: Thursday, AUGUST 12, 2010, at Michigan International Speedway.

TRACK SCHEDULE

9 a.m. -- 12 p.m.  Morning session

12 -- 1 p.m. Break
1 -- 4 p.m. Afternoon session
4:15 -- 4:30 p.m. Tech Talk
4:30 -- 5:15 p.m. NNS driver autograph session

FAN INFORMATION:

Fans can watch NASCAR Nationwide Series new car extended practice for free on Thursday as the Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Toyota Camry and Chevy Impala new cars make their MIS race debut for the CARFAX 250. Practice session seating is in Turn 1 through Gate 17. Parking is available in Lot 10. A continuous tram loop around the property will pick up campers who want to stop by. A free autograph session with many NASCAR Nationwide drivers will follow conclusion of practice at 4:30 p.m. under the Turn 1 grandstand. Wristbands for the autograph session will be handed out at 9 a.m. when gates open.

Prior to Autograph Session -- Joe Balash and Colin Braun (No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford) will be under the Turn 1 grandstand for a "Tech Talk" -- current car vs. new car -- for fans in attendance.
