Skip Barber trained Jimmy Spencer finished a grueling day at Richmond International Raceway with a dominating victory in last night's Hardee's 250 Busch Series race. Spencer, driving the No. 1 Yellow Freight Chevrolet, took command early and had an unbeatable car at the finish. He led 198 of the 250 laps on the .75-mile oval.

Spencer has emerged as at least a top-10 force in both Busch and Winston Cup this season. The Pennsylvanian has had success at Richmond before and with this result, now has three career top-fives and six career top-10s.

"It's great to win," Spencer said. "We've been running really strong in our Winston Cup car, and we've been running real strong in the Yellow Chevrolet too, so maybe we can do this again tomorrow night."

Spencer starts fifth in tonight's night's Pontiac 400. He showed great stamina in concluding a 16-hour day with a victory, with the constant dashing back and forth between the two series' garages.
