* RAB Racing announced Tuesday that 2003 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion, Travis Kvapil will pilot the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) on Friday, September 11th.
* Although Kvapil has 11 starts at RIR, he will be making his track debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this weekend.
* RAB Racing would like to extend a special "Thank You" to everyone that contributed to make the Children's Tumor Foundation helmet raffle a complete success. Through various efforts the team was able to raise $2,512.00 for CTF. We are also happy to announce that Laurie Trommer is the winner of the helmet. Congratulations!
Travis Kvapil at Richmond: Kvapil has 11 starts at the .750-mile oval including one top-10, four top-15 and eight top-20 finishes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and IROC Series. This Week's No. 09 Zaxby's Ford: Travis Kvapil will pilot chassis No. 025 in the upcoming Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at RIR. Most recently John Wes Townley piloted this chassis to a 29th place finish in the inaugural event at Iowa Speedway (8/1/09).
Remembering 911: RAB Racing would like to remember the men, women and children who lost their lives; the brave people who gave their lives and the heroes that responded to the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country by displaying an American flag on the left and right sides in front of the rear tires of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford at Richmond International Raceway. They will always be in our hearts!
Hometown Hero: RAB Racing's engineer, Jacob Morrison is a "Hokie" from Mechanicsville, Virginia. The 25-year-old is a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has been working with RAB Racing since 2007.
Points Check: John Wes Townley currently sits 30th in the 2009 driver point standings with 1282 points. The No. 09 entry remains 34th in the 2009 owner point standings with 1626 points; 49 markers behind 33rd-place and 537 points outside the top-30.
