* Tayler Malsam Back in the Driver's Seat of the No. 10 at RIR... After having a weekend off while the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) was in Atlanta, Malsam is back as driver of the No. 10 Iron Horse Jeans Toyota at Richmond International Raceway (RIR). Jason Leffler piloted the No. 10 to a seventh-place finish after starting 12th at Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend.
* Third Start For the NNS 'New Car'... The Virginia 529 College Savings 250 marks the third race for the NASCAR Nationwide Series 'new car.' The 'new car' debuted at Daytona International Speedway in July and made its second appearance at Michigan International Speedway in August. Malsam has two top-20 finishes in the series' 'new car', finishing 18th and 14th at Daytona and Michigan, respectively.
Malsam on his Nationwide Series experience
"It's been a really tough transition from the Truck Series to the Nationwide Series. I've had a lot to learn and it's been hard adjusting to the Nationwide cars, but everyone from Braun Racing has been so helpful. It's been cool to have the 'new car' races because it puts everyone on a more level playing field since no one has a lot of experience in them. I couldn't ask for any more from my guys. They work hard back at the shop to bring the best cars they can to the track each week and I am really proud to be able to say that."
The No. 10 Iron Horse Jeans team will hit the track with chassis #BR107 this weekend in Richmond. This is the same chassis that Malsam drove in Michigan to a 14th place finish.
