Richmond will mark the third race for the NASCAR Nationwide Series "New Car."
Scott currently leads Raybestos Rookie of the Year Standings by 12 points (197-185) over Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Scott talks Richmond
"I don't really know what to expect going into Richmond with the Nationwide Series "New Cars" on the short track at Richmond. The "New Car" has been a bit of a different challenge for us at the bigger tracks and I think it's going to be a whole new ball game when you get to the short track at Richmond where we're going to have to get them to turn and accelerate off the corner. Braun Racing went to Gresham Motorsports Park and tested the new car. Everyone came back real encouraged from the gains we made. As long as we can apply some of the knowledge that we learned there over to our Richmond set ups, I think we can unload and be pretty good. I'd like to get our BigSpot.com Toyota up front to give their hometown crowd something to cheer for."
Scott on BigSpot.com
"Companies can really learn from BigSpot.com's presence in motorsports. In their limited schedule of only five races this season, they have really engaged the fans with their online presence through BigSpotRacing.com and their twitter entity @BigSpotDotCom. They have done everything from giving away BigSpot.com racing swag to race tickets to those that follow them on twitter. They have done a great job building a lot of excitement around the times they are on the No. 11 car. They've worked very hard on getting the maximum amount of exposure out of their races. The fans have really responded and connected well with the company though their motorsports program at Braun Racing and I'm excited to have them back on the car for the next two weeks."
The No. 11 AccuDoc Solutions team is bringing chassis No. BR105 for this weekend's Virginia College Savings 200. Scott piloted BR105 at Michigan last month where he started 12th and finished 15th.
