Finished: 2nd

How difficult was the decision for you guys to put those tires on, on the last lap like that?

"Well it was no decision for us. I'm surprised anyone stayed out right there. Those two laps I thought we were going to go back to green and they called it off right at the last minute. That really got us, but it was still a great run by this DLP team. I'm glad to be in this car."

Was the sun going down a factor at the end of the race?

"Yeah, it definitely was. You can blame it on whatever, but the later you start, you know the closer to the flag stand, the worse it's going to be. This track is notorious for bad restarts anyway -- it's just a tough racetrack."

What were your thoughts out there today?

"It was good. When we were out front our car was good, obviously. It just got there back in the pack and we had to put 20 lap tires on, our practice tires, because we were one set short all day. We weren't able to make up much ground until we actually put stickers on. We weren't going to be in contention for the win anyway so we had to do whatever the leaders didn't do. If they were going to pit we were going to stay out and vice versa. We didn't need that caution to be called off that got us."

Do you think you could have challenged for the win at the end?

"Yeah, we were beside him at the finish. I was pretty confident. You have to pass every car smooth after the restart. You have to have every opening and everything. We had an opportunity and came up short."
