GETTING IN ON TIME AT PHOENIX

CONCORD, N.C. (April 7, 2010) - After being caught up in a multi-car accident at Nashville last weekend which resulted in a 30th-place finish, Colin Braun will be required to qualify the No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing Ford on time this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. He is currently 34th in the owner point standings. With statistics firmly on his side however, this should not be a concern for Braun or his team, led by veteran crew chief Eddie Pardue.

In his 51 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts, Braun has an average starting position of 8.0 with five pole awards (Daytona, O'Reilly Raceway Park, Gateway, Talladega and Homestead). His lowest starting position came in his first ever Truck Series start for Roush Fenway at Daytona International Speedway in 2007 where he took the green flag from the 22nd spot. In Braun's short Nationwide Series career, he has an average starting position of 9.9 with two pole awards (Mexico City, O'Reilly Raceway Park). In his only two starts at Phoenix, which came in the Truck Series, Braun has an average starting spot of 14.5.

"There is no doubt in my mind we can get this done, and come away with a good finish as well," Braun said. "I have all the faith in the world in my equipment, my crew chief and my team. We will spend time in both race and qualifying trim during practice, but we may do a couple qualifying runs just so I know what to expect."
