WHAT COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU THINK OF FONTANA?

“Fontana is an excellent facility, I’ve had a couple of great races out there, and then I’ve had a few not so great days too. The way this team has been performing so far this season, and with the Ford Mustangs they’ve been giving me, I feel like we have a legitimate shot at this one. I’m looking forward to this weekend, and I will be doing my best to get our Wurth Mustang back in victory circle.”

DOES FONTANA PRESENT UNIQUE CHALLENGES?

“It is a big wide track with lots of places to pass, which is nice. Tire management is crucial at Fontana as over a long run they will fall off quite a bit. It is a horsepower track, which his good for us as our Ford Mustangs have considerable power.”

GREG ERWIN, CREW CHIEF NO. 12 WURTH FORD

HOW DO YOU FEEL HEADING INTO FONTANA?

“We are looking forward to this weekend at Fontana. It is a big wide open place, and I feel as though our Ford Mustang will be strong out there. Since we only come here once a year, this track presents challenges as the cars have undergone a lot of changes since last year. Overall, we feel like our Wurth Ford team is well prepared and we will continue to keep pushing and building momentum.”

HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT A WIN AT AUTO CLUB?

“We’ve had some really strong runs at Auto Club Speedway over the last few years, lots of top-fives, but we can’t seem to break through to go to Victory Lane. Maybe the switch over to Ford and the Roush-Yates power will be just what we need. More than anywhere else you need a big motor at Auto Club.”

HOW COOL IS IT TO SEE YOUR TEAMMATE SITTING ATOP THE STANDINGS?

“It’s a great thing for everyone at Penske Racing to have Sam leading the points in the Nationwide Series. Sam is a good racecar driver. Greg is a good crew chief. They make a formidable combination and I think they will be strong throughout the year.”

JEREMY BULLINS, CREW CHIEF NO. 22 AMERICA’S TIRE FORD

WHAT IS YOUR WEEKEND OUTLOOK FOR AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY?

“Everyone on the America’s Tire Ford Mustang team is excited to get to Auto Club Speedway this weekend. We feel like we let one get away from us the last time we were on an intermediate track, which was Las Vegas earlier in the month. Our package for these tracks proved to be strong so I feel like we can get our first win of the season on Saturday.”
