RWR'S STEVE WALLACE AMONG TOP-THREE IN FINAL NASHVILLE PRACTICE
--Teammate Brendan Gaughan Also Among Top-Ten in Evening Session--

LEBANON, TN (July 5, 2009)--Rusty Wallace Racing's Steve Wallace (No. 66 5-Hour Energy Chevrolet Impala SS) ranked third-fastest overall in this evening's final practice session for tomorrow night's Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.

Wallace's best lap of 29.908 seconds (160.452 MPH) came on his 35th--and penultimate--lap of the session. His effort was less than eight one-hundredths of a second off of the session's best lap, posted by No. 60-Carl Edwards.

Noted Wallace, "We struggled a bit through the first practice session and the first part of the second session. My 5-Hour Energy guys worked hard though and we were able to make some changes in the last half of final practice that really brought our car to life. Nashville is always a fun place to race and I'd like nothing more than to grab a guitar in my 100th career start."

Wallace's RWR teammate, Brendan Gaughan (No. 62 USfidelis Chevrolet Impala SS) was also among the top-ten in final practice, posting the sixth-fastest effort overall. Gaughan's best lap of 30.058 seconds (159.651 MPH) occurred on the 31st of his 32 laps in the session.

Said Gaughan, "I think we have a really fast Impala SS for tomorrow's race. We unloaded pretty fast off the truck and it really carried throughout the entire day, even when the sun went down. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night's race."
