Coleman Top 10 in Nashville Return; Earns back-to-back Top 10's over ten month stretch
Charlotte, NC (June 8, 2009) -- Brad Coleman jumped out in his first race since earning at Top 10 at Watkins Glen last August and made it back-to-back Top 10's by bringing the No. 20 Rudys.com Toyota Camry home in tenth position Saturday night at Nashville.
Running in the Top 5 most of the night, Coleman's bright yellow Rudy's Bar-B-Q themed Toyota was damaged two-thirds through the race on lap 140 when the No. 66 thought he was clear for a pass and was not quite there. The damage sent Coleman back to 12th and he was able to regain two spots securing a Top 10 finish.
"Overall it was a good return as I have not been in a race for a while and it was my first time to work with my team in a race situation," stated Coleman. "I'm not being honest however if I don't share my disappointment in my finish. We ran in the Top 5 all night and should have finished there. My team deserves that much."
The run put Coleman back in the race groove which he will continue as a back-up driver for teammate Kyle Busch in the No. 18 next weekend at the Mejer 300 at Kentucky Speedway, a track where Coleman finished second with JGR in 2007.
Coleman's next race in the No. 20 Rudys.com Toyota is Father's Day weekend at Milwaukee where he finished fourth in his first outing at the mile-long flat track.
