Mike Wallace to make 750th career NASCAR start at Charlotte on Friday

Canadian Darryl Harr to drive No. 4 Tradebank Chevrolet

GAFFNEY, S.C. (October 8, 2012) – Mike Wallace will reach another major milestone in this Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in his unsponsored No. 01 HELPJD01.com Chevrolet.

For the 750th time in his NASCAR career, the nine-time race winner will be taking a green flag to start a race. The starts are spread out across NASCAR Sprint Cup (190 starts), Nationwide (445th start) and Camping World Truck Series (115 starts) competition.

With five victories in the NCWTS and four in NNS, Wallace will put this accomplishment right up there with his other memorable moments behind the wheel. Joining him as a teammate for the “homecoming” race will be St. Alberta, Canada native Darryl Harr in the No. 4 Tradebank Chevrolet.

Mike Wallace Quotes: “That is still baffling that I have been around this sport long enough to make 750 starts across the board. I’m very fortunate to still be getting paid to do something I truly love to do week in and week out.

“Aside from my family and friends through the years, I’d very much like to thank Johnny Davis and Gary Keller for all they do to keep this team running. We’re unsponsored right now and looking for some help to finish out the season, but they are still in it and committed to keep racing.

“Charlotte is the track everyone wants to win because we all have family and friends at the race because it’s so close to home. We’ve been working on this car to get it better and adjusting it from the last time we were here.

“Another good run by this determined team would give us a good boost. I’ll do my best to make this 750th start a memorable one for this entire team.”

Chrissy Wallace Update: Stay tuned for an announcement regarding Chrissy (Mike’s daughter) getting behind the wheel, again, very soon in the NASCAR ranks.
