The Last Time Around-Charlotte: John Wes Townley and the No. 09 RAB Racing team encountered a multitude of misfortunes in their "Queen City" debut at Lowe's Motor Speedway resulting in a 27th-place finish in the Dollar General 300 on Friday night, October 10th.

The 18-year-old rookie was the last of the go-or-go-home cars to qualify in on time, and started the 200-mile event in the 43rd position in a back-up car after wrecking the primary car on lap two of qualifying.

ARCA RE/MAX Series Finale at Toledo: As the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series season came to a close Sunday, October 12th at Toledo Speedway, John Wes Townley and the No. 09 RAB Racing team had every reason to walk away with a smile. Along with taking home another top-10, Townley also walked away with his best short-track finish of the season, sixth.

After 21: After 21 scheduled events in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series, Townley recorded one top-five, nine top-10's and 15 top-15's. The Watkinsville, GA native has an average starting position of 14.05, an average finish of 14.67 and has completed 91.32% of all laps attempted (2820 out of 3088).

Points Check: John Wes Townley finished seventh in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship point standings with 4540 points and fourth in the SunTrust Rookie of the Year battle with 358 points.

This Week's Zaxby's Ford at Memphis: John Wes Townley will pilot chassis No. 025 for the Kroger on Track for the Cure 250 this weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park. This is a previous Roush Fenway Racing chassis and will be making its debut this weekend for RAB Racing.

Meet John Wes Townley: John Wes Townley will be signing autographs on Friday, October 24th immediately following final practice from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the infield on the frontstretch.

John Wes Townley, driver of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford: "Memphis is a fast little short track. I think to be successful there this weekend we will need to stay out of trouble, have solid pit stops and track position will be key. My goal is to make the race, complete all the laps and learn as much as possible. I know that Blake (Bainbridge) and my team at RAB Racing work hard to build and prepare great race cars, so I look forward to getting out there and doing the best I can."

Blake Bainbridge, crew chief of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford: "I'm looking forward to our first race at Memphis Motorsports Park. Although, John Wes has no prior experience at this track, he is coming off a good run at Toledo Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. As a driver he should be able to pick up on the short track a little faster than the intermediate tracks we have run previously in the NASCAR Nationwide Series because of his background in short track racing. As a team we have a solid short track program and great power from Roush-Yates Engines."
