This Week's Zaxby's Ford at Memphis: John Wes Townley will pilot chassis No. 025 for the Kroger on Track for the Cure 250 this weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park. This is a previous Roush Fenway Racing chassis and will be making its debut this weekend for RAB Racing.
Meet John Wes Townley: John Wes Townley will be signing autographs on Friday, October 24th immediately following final practice from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the infield on the frontstretch.
John Wes Townley, driver of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford: "Memphis is a fast little short track. I think to be successful there this weekend we will need to stay out of trouble, have solid pit stops and track position will be key. My goal is to make the race, complete all the laps and learn as much as possible. I know that Blake (Bainbridge) and my team at RAB Racing work hard to build and prepare great race cars, so I look forward to getting out there and doing the best I can."
Blake Bainbridge, crew chief of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford: "I'm looking forward to our first race at Memphis Motorsports Park. Although, John Wes has no prior experience at this track, he is coming off a good run at Toledo Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. As a driver he should be able to pick up on the short track a little faster than the intermediate tracks we have run previously in the NASCAR Nationwide Series because of his background in short track racing. As a team we have a solid short track program and great power from Roush-Yates Engines."
