KESELOWSKI AT KENTUCKY - Keselowski will be making only his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the 1.5-mile track this weekend. His first came last season where Keselowski started 13th and finished fourth. Keselowski also has two previous Camping World Truck Series starts at Kentucky.
SEASON STATS - Keselowski is ranked fourth in points, 193 back from leader Kyle Busch. In 13 races, Keselowski and the No. 88 team have one win, six top-fives and eight top-10s. His average starting position is 17.4 and average finish is 10.2.
STILL IN THE HUNT - After his second place finish at Nashville Superspeedway last weekend, Keselowski moved up one spot to fourth in the championship point standings. With 22 races remaining in the season, he is only 193 markers out of first with plenty of time to make up ground. Entering the Kentucky race last season, Keselowski was 192 points out of first.
GOOD FINISHES WITH GODADDY.COM - For the seventh time this season, GoDaddy.com will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. The weekends that GoDaddy.com has been on the hood of Keselowski's car, he has gone on to score three top-10s, two top-fives and one win.
ON THEIR SIDE - Keselowski will be making an appearance in Fountain Square in Cincinnati, Ohio for series sponsor Nationwide on Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. While there, Keselowski will discuss the dangers of driving while distracted and the upcoming race in Kentucky as well as post a lap time in a driving simulator for others to try and beat.
CHASSIS NO. 405 - The No. 88 GoDaddy.com team will run Chassis No. 405 this weekend in the Meijer 300. Keselowski previously raced this car at California earlier in the season where he started 13th and finished 27th after contact with the No. 16 car.
KESELOWSKI (on racing in the non-companion races...) - "For me, every weekend is another chance for this No. 88 team to get into victory lane. We have great cars and a great crew working on them. I don't look at these stand alone weekends any different than I would a companion weekend. There is a lot of talent in the field every time we go to the track, regardless of what weekend it is. The one thing that we do have over the Cup drivers who go back and forth is track time. We get that three hours of practice time on Friday which could go a long way in leveling the playing field a bit for those guys who are only racing in the Nationwide Series."
KESELOWSKI (on his early success in the summer stretch) - "I'm really excited about our results during the first few weeks of this long summer stretch we have in the Nationwide Series. It is very encouraging to me that we seem to be gelling together as a team at a really good time. Looking at the big picture, it is real important that we stay consistent through these 17 weeks if we want to be a factor in the Championship hunt, which we obviously do. With the finishes in Dover and Nashville, we are putting ourselves in a position to be around at the end of the season."
