Carmichael talks Kansas
"I haven't made even one lap in a Nationwide car, so this weekend is definitely going to be a learning experience for me. I know I won't be out there setting the world on fire, but I'm going to be using this opportunity to gain some seat time, log some laps and really just get some good experience in the car. I hope that, as the season moves forward and I make more Nationwide starts, I'll know what to expect and be able to make good solid runs."
"I'm looking forward to going back to Kansas. I've always qualified well there, but with this being a new type of racing for me, being in a car rather than a truck, I'm sure it will be different. The good thing is I've got just as much experience at Kansas as I do at other tracks. I may not know exactly what to expect from the car throughout the race, but I do know how the track changes and what to expect from track so it's a good place for me to make my first Nationwide Series start."
Carmichael on Monster Energy
"I'm really fortunate that Monster Energy has been with me for the last five years and has moved with me from moto, into late models, trucks and now into the Nationwide Series. I have such a great relationship with everyone there and they do a great job of really getting behind me and my racing program. They have distributors and retailers across the country that support us at each race and I'm just hoping I can go out there this weekend and do a great job for them."
The No. 10 Monster Energy team is bringing chassis No. BR50 for this weekend's Kansas Lottery 300. Chassis BR50 was last on-track at Iowa where it started third and finished 30th after a crash on lap 162.
