John Wes Townley and the No. 09 RAB Racing team will head to Covington, KY for the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship Awards Banquet on Saturday night, December 6th. The team finished 7th in overall driver and owners points.

Homestead-Miami Speedway Debut: John Wes Townley will attempt to make his first career start at Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend in the Ford 300. Townely and the No. 09 team were unable to test in preparation for this event.

The Last Time Around-Phoenix: John Wes Townley and the No. 09 RAB Racing team encountered multiple mishaps in their Phoenix International Raceway debut, resulting in a 38th-place finish in the Hefty Odor Block 200 last Saturday, November 8th.

After posting a fast lap of 27.994 seconds (128.604 mph), which was good enough to make the field, Townley lost control of the No. 09 machine on lap two, forcing the team to bring out a back-up car.

Townley started the 200-lap event in the 43rd position, but quickly made work of the cars in front of him and was sitting as high as 25th before a spin on lap 62, which ultimately sent him into the frontstretch wall.

This Week's Zaxby's Ford at Homestead: John Wes Townley will pilot chassis No. 024 in the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is a previous Matt Kenseth chassis from the Roush Fenway Racing stables and was previously run in 2008 at Dover International Speedway (30th) and Lowe's Motor Speedway (27th).
