Finishing Position: 1st
What does it mean to get this win with Joe Gibbs Racing?
"It's awesome you know. I want to thank Z-Line Designs, Toyota, the fans, NOS Energy Drink, Interstate Batteries and all the guys that make it possible. This is just a blast. To run like that here and to beat guys like Carl (Edwards) and Kevin (Harvick) -- it's pretty special. To win here twice in one day is even more special. I wouldn't be able to do it without all these guys. Everybody at Joe Gibbs Racing on the Nationwide side, Cup side -- everybody. I love driving for Joe Gibbs (team owner) -- he's awesome. And J.D. (Gibbs) -- he's great, too. You can't ever fault a nybody or have any faults when you're sitting here in victory lane. That thing was just flawless and I can't thank them enough. It was great to have Jason (Ratcliff, crew chief) back, that really means a lot to us. We just get through practice quicker. Before, we'd have to text him or call him or whatever and get changes made. But, now we can just buzz right through practice. Like last night, we only used 15 minutes of the second one."
Can you win three races this weekend?
"I don't know, we're certainly going to try. That Interstate Batteries Camry on that side was decent. It wasn't the best today but I'm sure Steve (Addington, crew chief) is thinking about it. And, I'll call him after this race to see what I learned and talk to him a little bit and see if we can't figure something out to make it a little bit better for tomorrow."
How does it feel to win two races in one day?
"It's a phenomenal opportunity to be associated with all these guys and everybody that makes it possible for us to come out here and race. I thank the fans for coming out here and supporting us for two races. It was a blast. We just love being able to put on a show like that. That last restart got a little nerve racking there but that was fun, that's what racing is all about and what the fans come to see."
Can you take us through that last restart?
"Those guys all made their stuff better, that's for sure and definitely came on in the end. Having to battle (Kevin) Harvick there -- he kind of gave me a break down into turn one. So, I kind of went down on him a little bit and he let me in and that was cool. I got tight behind Carl (Edwards) there, so I got up behind him and made him a little bit loose and fortunately we were able to get through there and down the backstretch with Kevin (Harvick) and clear him in (turns) three and four. This was a phenomenal race. I think Joey (Logano) ended third so that was a good day for those guys, too. It means a lot for us to run like that."
How special is this race for you having your crew chief Jason Ratcliff back?
"Having Jason (Ratcliff, crew chief) means a lot. It just helps us get through practice better and we look a lot smarter when we're able to have a fast car like that. Yesterday, we only spent like 15 minutes in the fina l practice. So, it means a lot to have him back. When we unloaded we weren't that great, but we just kept working on it and plugging away and Jason (Ratcliff) made some great calls. The family that's here, NASCAR is like a family, so I thank all the off icials and all those guys. I have my mom here and some of her friends from Vegas so it's cool to see those guys."
Do you have anything left for tomorrow?
"I hope so. I think it would be awesome to be able to do that. That'd be pretty sweet. I haven't been able to do that yet and we're looking forward to being able to complete that task. We have our work cut out for us tomorrow. Jimmie Johnson is going to be awfully strong. Carl (Edwards) is going to be strong and I think (Greg) Biffle was strong and Denny (Hamlin), my teammate, was strong, too. We'll see if we can't get a top-five at least."
