CARL EDWARDS - No. 60 Scotts Miracle-Gro Ford Fusion - (finished 5th, started 3rd)
"It was a good day. It made for a nice drive; I had a good time."
IF YOU HAD A FEW MORE LAPS, COULD YOU HAVE CAUGHT THE LEADERS? "I don't think a few more laps could have helped us today. It was a lot of fun. It was good day where I got to race a lot. Our Scotts Fusion was pretty good here. It was a good points day for us. Congratulations to Tony [Stewart] and those guys, they had everybody covered today. Thanks to the fans for sticking around. The was a fun day to spend a Monday."
WHO DO YOU DEBRIEF WITH FIRST TODAY, BOB OSBORNE OR P.K.? "I'll talk to P.K. Bob and I got to talk just a little bit in the media center. It's weird to win a Cup race and jump right into another car, but I wouldn't celebrate it any other way. That's fun. That's a good race right there."
WAS IT HARD TO CONCENTRATE? IT MUST BE HARD WITH THE ADRENALINE FROM THE WIN? "No, I'm real fortunate, I can just turn that off when I get on the car and focus on what I'm doing. It's going to be a nice flight home. I'm excited. We had a good day. To win the Sprint Cup race here in California, that's a great day. And to top it off with a top-five run in the Nationwide Series, that's a good day." HOW GOOD WAS YOUR CAR IN THE NATIONWIDE RACE? "Our car was pretty good. I wouldn't have changed anything on the balance. PK and the guys did a good job, we just didn't have the perfect package to be extremely fast, and we were just lacking a tiny bit."
DAVID RAGAN - No. 6 America's Tire Ford Fusion - (finished 12th, started 12th)
"We felt like we started off real good. We had awesome pit stops all day and our Discount Tire Ford Fusion was good at the beginning and wasn't good at the end when we needed to be. We just got a little behind on adjustments. We probably should have taken four tires on that last stop. We just did fuel only and we didn't know it was going to go green the rest of the way. We just kind of took a gamble. We still had a solid run, a top-15 finish, but we need to be in that top five or top 10 every single week. I'm a little disappointed in our finish, I felt like we could have contented for a top-five finish with our teammates up there. Overall, a decent weekend, I'm ready to get out of here and get back to Charlotte for a day or two before Las Vegas."
MARCOS AMBROSE - No. 59 Kingsford with Hickory Ford Fusion - (finished 22nd, started 18th)
"We had a testing day. We didn't have the practice that we would have liked, but that's the same with everybody. We missed a day and just struggled and struggled. We finished and the car is in one piece. It wasn't a great day for us, but we'll take it.
