BIGSPOT.COM TEAM HAS PROMISING DAY IN DOVER

DOVER, Del. (September 25, 2010) - Brian Scott finished 13th in the Dover 200 on Saturday afternoon at Dover International Speedway. After a string of bad finishes, the 22-year-old Boise, Idaho-native gave the BigSpot.com Toyota a solid run.

Although qualifying 23rd, Scott methodically moved his way through the field on the first run. Scott moved the BigSpot.com Camry up seven spots in the first 50 laps and held off a hard charging leader to remain on the lead lap until a yellow flag flew on lap 70. Four tires, fuel and air pressure were in order as Scott came down pit lane for the first time all day. During the stop, the crew noticed front nose damage on the No. 11 BigSpot.com Camry and spent a little extra time in the pit box repairing it.

Restarting 13th, Scott worked hard for the top-10. It took him only six laps to find it as Scott found himself running 10th at lap 76. The track started to change and not in favor for the No. 11 BigSpot.com Toyota. As laps ticked off around halfway, Scott began slipping back. By the time a yellow flag flew on lap 111, the BigSpot.com Camry was found in the 15th position.

With Scott complaining of a loose condition, crew chief, Jeff Stankiewicz, fired four tires, fuel, air pressure and a shock adjustment at the BigSpot.com Toyota and sent Scott back out to the track for a restart on lap 117. Scott would ride in 15th as laps clicked off. Another yellow flag flew on lap 134, setting Scott up for one more adjustment til the end of the race. Four tires, fuel and trackbar was all that was needed for Scott to restart 15th.

As laps wound down Scott picked up speed and positions as he ran down the leaders. When the checkered flag flew, Scott crossed the line in the 13th position.

"We finally had a decent run," Scott said after the race. "The BigSpot.com crew did a great job all weekend getting this car fast. I knew we were a little better than our qualifying effort so it really just came down to race adjustments. After all these hard weekends and tough finishes it sure does feel great to finish near the front of the pack. A 13th place finish is exactly what we needed for BigSpot and all the No. 11 Braun Racing guys."

This 13th place finish puts Scott 14th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship standings, 26 points out of 14th and 1613 points from the lead.

Next Stop: The NASCAR Nationwide Series takes a week off this weekend, but heads to Kansas Speedway next weekend for the Kansas Lottery 300.
