Menard's Full Nationwide Schedule Paying Off

CONCORD, N.C. (May 7, 2010) - In 2009 Roush Fenway Racing Nationwide driver Paul Menard ran 16 races in the Nationwide Series, this year Menard decided to run a full Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series and the results thus far have been impressive. In nine races in the Nationwide Series, Menard has completed and impressive 99.9% of the laps with the following results:

Menard has also improved in the Sprint Cup Series where he is now 20th in points and has an average finish of 20.1 verses 26.7 in 2009.

Running both series has been a challenge for Menard and all of the double-duty drivers on the circuit. With Nationwide events being rained out back to back in Texas and Talladega, drivers have had to run double headers to get the races in. In June the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races are in different cities presenting a new challenge of getting back and forth for practice, qualifying and racing at each event.

These complications require stamina and focus, but clearly Paul Menard has exhibited what it takes to get the job done and be a factor at the track. He and the No. 98 Menard's Team will look to build on that success as the season moves forward into May.

Paul Menard will make his tenth NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Darlington Raceway in Friday's Royal Purple 200.

Paul Menard on racing at Darlington Raceway: "We have to rebound this week at Darlington. I haven't run a Nationwide race since it's been repaved and I am very much looking forward to it."

Crew chief Matt Puccia on racing at Darlington Raceway: "We have a good down force package for this intermediate track that should provide superior handling and keep us off the wall. I am confident a top five finish is well within our reach this weekend."
