CENTENNIAL START - This weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Brad Keselowski will make is 100th NASCAR Nationwide Series start, most of which have come with JR Motorsports. Keselowski has amassed five wins, 30 top-fives, 49 top-10s, and three pole awards since making his Nationwide debut on Sept. 2, 2006 at Auto Club Speedway.
HOPING FOR 50 - If Keselowski is able to finish in the top-10 in Friday's Dollar General 300, he will have scored top-10 finishes in exactly half of his NASCAR Nationwide Series starts.
SEASON STATS - Keselowski enters the weekend third in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings, 227 points behind leader Kyle Busch and 72 points behind second place Carl Edwards. This is the 17th consecutive week Keselowski has been in the top-three in the point standings. In 30 races, Keselowski and the No. 88 team have three wins, 19 top-fives, 24 top-10s and two pole awards. His average starting position is 13.1 and average finish is 7.1.
KESELOWSKI AT LOWE'S - Keselowski will make his fifth career Nationwide Series start at Lowe's Motor Speedway this weekend for JR Motorsports. In his previous four starts, Keselowski has scored one top-five, three top-10s and an average finish of 7.5.
NIGHT RIDER - Keselowski has performed well under the lights in 2009, earning nine top-fives, 12 top-10s, and two pole awards at races held at night. He also has an average finish of 5.7, finishing only two night races outside of the top-10.
FINAL DOUBLE DUTY WITH HMS - In addition to his duties in the No. 88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports this weekend, Keselowski will attempt to qualify for the NASCAR Banking 500 in the No. 25 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. This is the final event on Keselowski's seven-race Cup schedule in the No. 25 GoDaddy.com Chevy.
CHASSIS NO. 356 - The No. 88 Real Fan of the Year team will run Chassis No. 356 this weekend in the Dollar General 300. Keselowski has called this his "favorite car" as it has seen action seven times this year. Chassis 356 was also the car Keselowski raced to his third win of the season at Michigan.
KESELOWSKI (on making his 100th start this weekend) - "It is hard to believe that I will be making my 100th start this weekend. It's actually kind of cool that it fell on the race here in Charlotte. Everyone looks forward to this race because it's a home race and there's always a lot going on. Now I have something extra to celebrate as well. Most of those 100 races were run with JR Motorsports, and I can't thank Dale Jr. and Kelley enough for the opportunity they gave me two years ago to get in this No. 88 car. We have continued to run well these last few weeks, and I'd love to be able to get a top-10 finish to be able to get my 50th top-10 in my 100th start. I think we can definitely do that this weekend."
KESELOWSKI (on his championship hopes) - "We were finally able to have a good race in California last weekend and actually had a shot to win it there a few times. We had a really good points day too, making up 80 points on the leader. There is no doubt we are still in the hunt for the Nationwide Series championship. We just need to keep performing at this level and let the chips fall where they may. All we have control over is how well we as a team perform and if we can keep doing that at this same level, we have as good a shot as any at the championship."
