BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 12 Discount Tire Dodge Charger) Qualified 3rd
"It was a solid qualifying lap for our Discount Tire Dodge. After I took that hard hit in Cup qualifying (on Thursday) I'm still a little sore, so I was glad that I had a day away from the track. I could really tell where I took that hit because I'm really sore where the seat wrapped around me. That's part of racing. I got a solid lap out of the car in qualifying. Our car is fast. I like racing here in Charlotte. I think that we'll have a good starting position which is important."
WITH A SERIES OF NATIONWIDE STAND-ALONE RACES COMING UP, HOW IMPORTANT IS THE NEXT MONTH FOR YOU? "It's really important. We've got a lot of stand-alone races. We have the first NASCAR Nationwide Series "new car" with the Dodge Challenger racing at Daytona July 4th weekend. We have to have solid weeks and try to put some distance between us and the Cup guys not running the full schedule. I feel pretty confident about our chances. Our Nationwide program has been solid all season. We just need to keep the momentum going and build on the solid start that we've had the first four months of the season."
JUSTIN ALLGAIER (No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger) Qualified 11th
"The Verizon Wireless guys did a great job giving me a fast race car. We weren't real happy after Thursday's practice session and the changes that we made were great. I feel that we're way better today than Thursday. Obviously the track tightened up a bit and picked up some speed. The biggest thing is that although qualifying is important, we think that we have a better race car. We'll just wait and see where that will put us; hopefully we won't get shuffled back too much. I like our car in race trim. We're fast. The track is going to be fast and I think that we've got the right balance underneath me now."
