“We made up a lot of ground early in the race and then kind of settled into a groove"
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – In a race pockmarked by 11 caution flags because of numerous spins and accidents, Landon Cassill drove through the damage and finished 22nd in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Nationwide Series event at Kansas Speedway.
“It was generally a good day for us,” Cassill said. “We made up a lot of ground early in the race and then kind of settled into a groove. It gives us some good numbers for when we race here again. It was good to have the folks from AllDayParts.com with us for the race.”
Matt Kenseth won the race, marking his second victory of the season. Austin Dillon moved past Sam Hornish Jr. into the point lead.
The series moves on to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Dollar General 300 Oct. 11. There are four races left on the schedule.
