* SUPERIOR AT SOUTH BOSTON Fedewa returns to South Boston Speedway as the reigning race winner of the 1998 event. Fedewa was one of only two leaders in the race. 1998 teammate Randy LaJoie gave him no room for error during the event and Fedewa finessed his way to his second win of the season. With one top-five and five top-10 finishes this season, Fedewa is ready to race his way back to victory lane.

"It is great to win a race at a bull ring like South Boston
Speedway," said Fedewa. "You work so hard in a race like that, and anything
can go wrong in the blink of an eye. It's like you don't even blink, you
just drive. The intensity of it is awesome.

Dale (Earnhardt, Jr.) and I were running neck and neck. He was faster with an open track and I was able to work the traffic better with my car. I was coming on strong and my car just kept getting better and better. I think Junior maybe just got a little impatient with lapped traffic."

* NAME THAT CAR!!! The No. 36 Stanley Racing Machine that Cicci-Welliver Racing will unload at South Boston Speedway is the same car that Fedewa ran to a third-place finish at Nazareth Speedway earlier this season. The team will utilize the same setup they used last year to put the racecar in victory lane.

"This race track has large bumps in the entrance of the corners," said Vic Kangas, crew chief for the No. 36 Stanley Racing team. "That is why shocks and springs are so important here. If the car won't accept the bumps then you are in big trouble trying to get around the racetrack. Last year we figured that out and feel like we can go back there and be just as strong this year."

* THE ONE WHO ENDS THE SEASON WITH THE MOST TOOLS WINS!!! The Stanley prize for this week at South Boston Speedway is a Stanley 9-Piece Mini Tools Set in a soft-sided case. To compete in THE ONE WHO ENDS THE SEASON WITH THE MOST TOOLS WINS contest, members of the media need to fill out an entry form before the start of the NASCAR Busch Series race. The winner of the Stanley 12-Piece Fastening Tools Kit at Dover Downs International Speedway was Matt Yokum with ESPN.
