Atlanta, GA (March 10, 2001) ? Aaron's and Michael Waltrip Racing are proud to announce a new member to the No. 99 Aaron's "Dream Machine" team, NASCAR driver, Shawna Robinson. Robinson will take the wheel of the No. 99 Aaron's "Dream Machine" Chevrolet for three Busch Series events this year.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of the Aaron's "Dream Machine" team and I'm excited about the entire program," said Robinson. Robinson begins her driving duties on March 31st at the Texas Motor Speedway. She will follow it up with the April 14th Nashville and April 21st Talladega Busch Series races.

The addition of Robinson to the Michael Waltrip Racing organization came out of discussions between team owner, Michael Waltrip and Ken Butler, president of Aaron's. "Shawna is an awesome addition to the Aaron's "Dream Machine" team. She has proven herself to be a very capable NASCAR driver and we look forward to her representing our company and it's customers," stated Butler.

Robinson has been racing in NASCAR for over 10 years. Her debut came in 1988 when she finished third in the Charlotte/Daytona Dash series Florida 200 at Daytona International Speedway. While racing in her rookie year, she visited victory lane at the New Asheville Speedway in 1988. Robinson is the first woman to ever win a NASCAR touring event. Plus, she won the 1988 Most Popular Driver and Rookie of the Year awards. Robinson made her Busch Series debut in 1991.

Three years later, she claimed the pole position at Atlanta Motor Speedway, making her the first and only woman to lead a starting field to the green flag in a Busch Series. In 2000, Robinson returned to racing after starting her family by joining Michael Kranefuss' ARCA RE/MAX race team.

Robinson will continue her driving duties for Michael Kranefuss in the ARCA RE/MAX series as well as the three races for Michael Waltrip Racing's No. 99 Aaron's "Dream Machine" team.
