Scott Riggs looks to make a splash in the Nestea Ford Taurus.
(Mooresville, NC) Scott Riggs, driver of the No. 10 Nestlé^Ù Nesquik® Ford Taurus looks to make a splash this year when he trades in the Nesquik yellow for Nestea® blue in celebration of the iced tea drinking summer season. The Nestea brand will return as the primary sponsor of the No. 10 for the July 13th Chicagoland Speedway event as well as the August 3rd Indianapolis Raceway Park event. This marks the third year Nestea has taken advantage of the Nestlé, USA Beverage Division's relationship with ppc Racing.
"I am excited about having Nestea on board as the primary [sponsor] for Chicago," said Riggs. "The colorful graphics of the Nestea car are very cool."
The Thompson Design Group was retained by the Nestlé Nestea® brand to create a new car design for their return to NASCAR Busch Series competition. The Nestea car will have an iced tea splash over the hood, giving the illusion that Riggs and his machine have taken the 'Nestea Plunge'.
The Nestlé, USA Beverage Division has been pleased with the loyalty NASCAR fans exhibit.
"We chose Chicago and IRP this year because both races are in the heart of iced tea season," said Joanne Crawford, Director of Promotions for the Nestlé, USA Beverage Division. "We have been thrilled at the loyalty and support from NASCAR fans over the past two and one half years. With summer at its peak, we hope to remind them to stay refreshed with a cold glass of Nestea iced tea."
Riggs, the 2002 Rookie of the Year contender, hopes to continue his success on the track with the Nestea brand in the forefront.
"I've had a great year so far in the Busch Series and competition is close," said Riggs. "I am looking forward to continuing our accomplishments with the Nestea brand and hopefully drinking some refreshing Nestea in in Victory Lane"
