Bud Pole qualifying for the NASCAR Busch Series at Richmond International Raceway is on hold for track surface repair. The first two attempts by Dion Ciccarelli (Ford) and Jason Rudd (Dodge) ended in accidents. Neither driver was injured but NASCAR officials put a halt to qualifying.

Once the track repairs are made for the water seepage, qualifying for Saturday's Hardee's 250 will resume. Practice one session held earlier this afternoon had no apparent problems. RCR's Kevin Harvick was fastest at 21.527 seconds with a speed at 125.424 mph.

Following Harvick's Chevy was the Ford star Kasey Kahne turning a speed 125.116 mph for Akins Motorsports. Third was the current points leader Todd Bodine, the Herzog-Jackson Motorsports Chevy was just 0.119 behind Harvick at 124.734 mph.

Motorsport.com will have a full qualifying story once the Bud Pole is decided.
