BOBBY HAMILTON JR FASTEST IN WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON SESSION

The NASCAR Busch Series drivers hit the track today for the second day of a two-day test session in preparation for the Circuit City 250 Presented by FUNAI on Friday night, May 4 "under the lights" at Richmond International Raceway.

Bobby Hamilton, Jr. in the No.35 McDonald's car topped the speed charts at 124.458 mph during the four hour session from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rounding out the top five fastest were Bobby Santos in the No. 91, David Reutimann in the No. 99, Scott Wimmer in the No. 29 and Casey Mears in the No. 24.

With only two cautions, one for debris on the backstretch early in the test and another when the No. 4 car of Regan Smith spun on the backstretch, the 40 teams were able to gather valuable information to help them prepare for their return to America's Premier Short Track in just over a month.

The final segment of testing will take place from 5:30 p.m. -- 9:00 p.m. tonight.

The new Car of Tomorrow will make its first appearance at Richmond International Raceway's ¾-mile track next Tuesday and Wednesday for a two-day NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series test. The sessions are open to the public and free of charge from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. both days.

Tickets are still available for both the Crown Royal Presents the Jim Stewart 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on Saturday, May 5 and the Circuit City 250 Presented by FUNAI NASCAR Busch Series race on Friday, May 4. Fans can visit www.rir.com or call 1-866-455-RACE.
