RICHMOND (Sept. 6) -- Larry Foyt has decided to put Mark Green in the No. 14 Foyt/Harrah's Racing Monte Carlo for the Autolite/FRAM 250 NASCAR Busch Series race at Richmond International Raceway Friday night. Foyt qualified 32nd this afternoon.

Green, brother to race drivers David and Jeff, took the car out in final practice in preparation for tomorrow night.

"I'm still real sore in my legs," said Foyt who was still suffering from injuries ( pulled muscles and a blood clot in his lower extremities) sustained in the bizarre accident with Steve Park last week in Darlington, S.C..

"After I messed up in qualifying," said Foyt, "I knew I had a decision to make. If this weren't such a heavy braking track, I could run, but you need to be on top of it 100 percent and I'm not 100 percent.

"Mark has been working with me as a driver-coach, and I have full confidence that he will bring home a good finish. As the driver it's a tough decision, because I came to race, but as the team owner, I know I'm not fit to race. We have off next week so this will give me the time I need to be 100 percent by Dover."

Foyt is currently 23rd in the driver standings.
