The SCORE team, which carried associate sponsorship from The FanZCar last weekend at Gateway overcame a few weeks of tough luck and scored a solid 21st place finish.
After qualifying a season's best 19th, Sadler overcame handling woes throughout the event, and hung on to his No. 02 Chevrolet to claim his sixth top-25 finish of '04.
"Overall, I feel like Gateway was a step in the right direction for our team," said Hermie Sadler. "We raced the first new car that we have built this season, and we learned a great deal that will help us as we move forward this season. The team is now operating out of the new shop in Charlotte, which will make us better. After a couple of poor performances, it was nice to get a solid finish to build on," he added.
Heading into RIR this weekend, Sadler has an impressive 17 career starts at the short track. Hermie has a career best start of ninth, which occurred in spring and fall races of 1993, while motoring a career best finish of third in the fall 1993 event.
