MOORESVILLE, N.C. - ppc Racing officials announced today that it has expanded NASCAR Busch Series driver Brent Sherman's 2005 schedule. Sherman will run the Serta/Hickory Farms/Consort for Men Ford Taurus in the remaining 16 series events, starting with this weekend's race at New Hampshire International Speedway.

"I'm happy to have finally found a home with a solid organization," Sherman said. "Finishing out the rest of the season will provide my team with a good foundation for next year."

Sherman recently joined ppc Racing, and competed in his first event last weekend at Chicagoland Speedway where he qualified 30th and finished 24th.

"After last weekend's run, I'm ready for this weekend's race at New Hampshire," Sherman said. "We went into Chicagoland and accomplished all of the goals we had set. We made the race and ran well. I have no doubt that we'll be able to do the same this weekend."

ppc Racing entered its sixth year of competition in 2005 under ownership from Greg Pollex. Its NASCAR Busch Series teams have amassed 32 wins and more than 150 top-five and 250 top-10 finishes in just five seasons. In its inaugural year, ppc Racing won the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series driver and owner's championship, finishing 1-2 in the standings.

Saturday's New England 200 from New Hampshire International Speedway will air live on TNT at 3 p.m. ET.
