Scott Riggs, no. 10 Nestle Nesquik Ford was the Raybestos® Rookie of the race at Nazareth. Riggs finished second, his fifth top-five and eighth top-10 in 12 career Busch Series starts. He has now been highest finishing rookie in six races this season. Riggs teammate Jason Keller won the race.
"We definitely don't have a rookie team here. All the guys do an awesome job. They know what it takes to put an awesome car under you. I've got to thank Greg Pollex for putting such a great race team together and give me an opportunity to be a part of it. Today everything worked out. I've got to congratulate my teammate. Jason Keller did a great job and his guys did a great job and congratulations to him."
HOW MUCH DID YOUR TEST HERE HELP YOU?
"I think it helped me a lot just getting used to the race car on this racetrack because I've never been here with a Busch car. We came back with a good baseline. I've got to give it to all the guys. They're the ones that worked hard and gave me a good car. Harold (Holly, crew chief) is being patient with me trying to teach me as much as he can. I know he pulled his hair out some this weekend with me trying all different kinds of things on the racetrack trying to find where I needed to be. He kept working with me and gave me the best car he could."
IS NAZARETH ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE TRACKS?
"It's a tough place, for sure. It's definitely a driver's racetrack. You've got to have a good handling car and a good balance on your racecar. I think having a good team like the number 10 Nesquik Ford Taurus team behind me is what got me here."
