Hermie Sadler Hopes Last Race At Nazareth Is Memorable
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - - As the NASCAR Busch Series embraces Nazareth Speedway for the final time this weekend, 1993 NBS Rookie-of-the-Year Hermie Sadler also plans to shrug the monkey off his back.
The SCORE Motorsports team had high hopes heading into Richmond International Raceway last weekend, but an electrical failure on lap 195 quickly erased the team's chances at a solid effort. Carrying The Bank of Southside Virginia colors, the No. 02 crew left RIR with a disappointing 29th place finish after starting 28th.
Heading into Nazareth this weekend, Sadler has eight career starts at the short track. Hermie has a career best start of third, which occurred in 1997, while motoring a career best finish of 11th in the 2000 event.
The SCORE Motorsports team will invade the track this weekend, looking for their first top-ten finish of the season. The team has obviously had a few obstacles this season, but as the season has progressed the team continues to learn, and everyone feels it's just a matter of time before the team begins to make some serious noise.
While currently occupying the 25th place in the NASCAR Busch Series standings, a good run on Sunday afternoon would allow the team to make a considerable gain in the race for the championship.
The team will arrive this weekend without the support of a primary sponsor. The SCORE crew hopes to have an "All-Star" weekend in the North, with hopes of attracting a sponsor that will join the No. 02 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the remainder of the 2004 NASCAR Busch Series season.
However, The FanZCar, Zapf Creation, and Jenkins & Jenkins Law Firm will join the No. 02 machine as associate sponsors this weekend.
Vincent Riela, Adam Feinberg, Allison Feinberg Bonnie Sheaman, and Christopher George Kenneth will have a huge weekend ahead of them. These members will be at Nazareth representing The FanZCar and cheering on Hermie Sadler.
Rolling into Nazareth Speedway, Sadler has 237 NASCAR Busch Series starts to his record, 2 wins, 18 top-fives, 44 top-tens, three poles, and has achieved $2,374,394 in career earnings.
The Funai 250 is the 12th of 34 events on the 2004 NASCAR Busch Series schedule.
