Jon Wood Quotes

On Nashville: "This is the first time we've gone back to a track for the second time, and that's real important. We have some good notes from our race there in May. We were a top-five car there in May most of the day. We'll take what we already know and mix it with some ideas to make the car even better."

On the season: "There's no question last week's race at Dover wasn't a good day for our Clorox/Wisk team. We got knocked into the wall twice by other cars. It's a shame when you're the victim of other people's problems, but you learn quickly in this sport to take the bad with the good. We'll rebound from that. Physically, I'm fine. I have no lingering problems from the wreck at Dover. The important thing is to pick up at Nashville where we left off a couple months ago. That's all the medicine I need."

Update: Tuesday June 6............After the hard crash in Dover last week, Jon made a visit to Dr. Jerry Petty today and Dr. Petty cleared him to race this week in Nashville. Jon says, : he is glad that is over and he is anxious to get back in the car."

Crew Chief Jay Guycw

On Nashville: "We like Nashville because it fits Jon's driving style. He likes to go fast and he's got a real good idea how to make the car fast coming off the second and fourth turns. After last week's wreck at Dover, we need a good race, so Nashville couldn't come at a better time. We've got a brand new car for this race, so we think we've improved on what we learned there in May."
