DAVE BLANEY LOOKS FOR TROPHY IN MUSIC CITY:
* Last time Dave Blaney raced at Nashville Superspeedway, he had the car to beat! Running second and chasing down the leader, Blaney and Johnny Sauter made contact, sending the No.10 spinning. Blaney was able to work his way back through the field and ended up with a third place finish. Blaney and the No. 10 Camping World team have some unfinished business at Nashville Superspeedway and intend to collect the Gibson Guitar trophy this time around!
* Dave Blaney will be pulling cross-country double-duty this weekend for the first time this season. Blaney will be practicing his Nextel Cup car in Pocono, Pennsylvania, then hoping on a plane to Nashville. Blaney will be running all six events where the Cup Series and Busch Series are at different locations. This is the first season Blaney has pulled double-duty in both series. He currently sits third in Busch Series point standings and 37th in Nextel Cup point standings.
* As Blaney's Nextel Cup obligations will keep him in Pocono during Busch Series practice on Friday evening, former Braun Racing driver, Chad Blount, will step in and fill the driver's seat for both Busch Series practice sessions. Blount ran 11 races in 2003 and one race in 2005 for team owner Todd Braun. Blaney will be in Nashville in time to qualify his No.10 Camping World Camry.
BLANEY ON RACING AT NASHVILLE SUPERSPEEDWAY:
"I'm feeling pretty confident heading back to Nashville. We ran really well there earlier this year. Really all the Toyota's preformed well there so we are very optimistic this could be place where we get our first win of the season. Not being there for practice will add another challenge but I'm sure Chad will help the guys get the car where it needs to be."
