DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 8, 1999) NASCAR officials today announced the 2000 NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division schedule that will feature few changes from the 1999 version.The agenda will feature the same 32 NASCAR Busch Series championship point events at 26 racetracks across the country.
While the number of event weekends and racetracks on the circuit will remain unchanged from the 1999 campaign, there have been date changes for six race tracks. The spring event at Bristol Motor Speedway moves ahead two weeks in the schedule to March 25, while Richmond International Raceway and New Hampshire International Speedway have switched event weekends in early May. Additionally, Myrtle Beach Speedway moves up a month while the eventat Nazareth Speedway slides back to July 16 in a combination weekend with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
"We have spent the last several years building the NASCAR Busch Series schedule into an extremely strong lineup," said Helton. "The NASCAR Busch Series has been the fastest growing division of the fastest growing sport in America. This year has been our best season ever and we believe 2000 will continue that pattern."
