MYRTLE BEACH, SC --- If past success can play a part in the outcome of the Myrtle Beach 250 this Saturday night, then look for Goulds Pumps driver Mike McLaughlin to contend for victory. The Waterloo, NY native has made six career starts on the .538 mile short track and recorded 2 top-five finishes and 4 top-ten finishes. Last season, McLaughlin finished the race in 12th after qualifying in 7th position.

"I have always enjoyed racing in Myrtle Beach, hopefully this year I can find a way to bring the Goulds Pumps Chevrolet to victory lane at the end of the night," McLaughlin said. "Its going to be real important for us to qualify up front this weekend, with 43 cars on such a small track, passing cars is going to be real tough."

McLaughlin will take to the track Saturday afternoon for Bud Pole qualifying. The Myrtle Beach 250 will take the green flag at 9:30pm on Saturday night with The Nashville Network and Motor Racing Network providing live coverage.
