Mark Green/Timber Wolf Racing Notes

For their inaugural run at the Dover Downs International Speedway, Mark Green and the Timber Wolf/Brewco Motorsports team brought the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo named 'Stanley'. The car was purchased from Mac Martin Motorsports (formerly sponsored by Stanley Tools) last season. "We raced this car at Bristol last year and this year, and both times it ended up in the wall. We know it works great on concrete tracks. It would work even better if it didn't like the 'taste of wall' so much," quipped team manager Todd Wilkerson. Green drove 'Stanley' twice in 1997, finishing 19th at Darlington, his first race on the 1.366 mile track, and 40th at Bristol, after being forced into the wall by another driver early in the race. Winston Cup Series competitor and older brother, David, will assist Green in finding the fast line around the one mile Dover track. "David was very successful in the Busch Series," said Green. "When he gives me advice, I know I don't have to second guess it. That's comforting, because at a track like Dover, if you think twice about what you are doing, you are in the wall."

Mark Green will sign autographs on June 26 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the 'NASCAR Night In The Heights' Celebration in downtown Elmira, New York. On June 27 at 6:00 pm, Mark will participate in the Lysol Racing Bowl Charity bowling tournament at Paramount Lanes in Elmira.

Uncle Willie's is an associate sponsor on the No. 37 Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the GM Goodwrench/Delco Battery 200 at Dover Downs International Speedway. Uncle Willie's, headquartered in Seaford, Delaware, is a chain of convenience stores with 15 locations in Central Delaware.

Mark Green surpassed $100,000 in earnings for the 1997 season after winning $5,917 last week in the CarQuest Auto Parts 300 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
